We are seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning and modifying product configurations to meet customer needs, collaborating with sales teams to understand customer requirements, and providing sales support. The Sales Engineer will be expected to secure and renew orders, arrange delivery, and create sales or service contracts for products or services. Success in this role will be measured by achieving the following objectives:


Responsibilities:

  • Confer with customers and engineers to assess with tractors and software needs and determine system requirements, resulting in a 25% increase in customer satisfaction ratings.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and promote the sale of company products, leading to a 30% increase in sales revenue.
  • Secure and renew orders, and arrange delivery of products and services, resulting in a 20% increase in repeat business from existing customers.
  • Develop, present, or respond to proposals for specific customer requirements, including request for proposal responses and industry-specific solutions, resulting in a 15% increase in the conversion rate of proposals to sales.
  • Recommend improved materials or machinery to customers, documenting how such changes will lower costs or increase production, resulting in a 10% reduction in customer complaints about product quality or efficiency.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations that explain products or services to customers and prospective customers, resulting in a 15% increase in customer engagement and interest.
  • Research and identify potential customers for products or services, resulting in a 10% increase in the number of qualified leads.
  • Visit prospective customers with demo team and to inform them about product pricing, availability, and advantages, resulting in a 5% increase in the number of new customers.
  • Create sales or service contracts for products or services, resulting in a 10% increase in contract value.
  • Keep informed on industry news and trends, products, services, competitors, relevant information about legacy, existing, and emerging technologies, and the latest product-line developments, resulting in a 10% increase in customer satisfaction with our industry knowledge.
  • Partner with Engineering and Product Team to become familiar with product lines, resulting in a 5% increase in product knowledge.
  • Develop sales plans to introduce products in new markets, resulting in a 10% increase in sales revenue in new markets.
  • Identify resale opportunities and support them to achieve sales plans, resulting in a 15% increase in repeat business from existing customers.
  • Document account activities, generate reports, and keep records of business transactions with customers and suppliers, resulting in a 20% increase in accuracy and completeness of customer data.
  • Train team members in the customer applications of technologies, resulting in a 10% increase in team productivity.
  • Maintain sales forecasting reports, resulting in a 5% increase in forecast accuracy.
  • Attend trade shows and seminars to promote products or to learn about industry developments, resulting in a 5% increase in new customer leads and a 10% increase in industry knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
